Hi Striped Barn Friends!
We are collaborating on an exciting new project in Fort Worth Texas and we will update as we go. It is a work in progress so stay tuned as we mix luxe and rust creating a cohesive and unique space! This is the kind of a hands on DIY project that is not designed on paper, or out of a magazine, its all about what you find and how you blend it with other pieces.
It’s is one of a kind raw design, using instinct and feeling for every choice you make. Sourcing at second hand stores and warehouses makes it a little more challenging and a lot more fun forcing you to color outside the lines a little and consider new possibilities. With nothing certain, there’s a surprise around every corner!
When mixing styles each style contributes to the balance of the design! The vision is to mix fun sophisticated modern with traditional Texas texture. This photo shows some texture inspo with a rustic wall, chunky wood table, and one of my favorite accessories…branches!
Since this project is a mix of styles, we needed to bring in some texture in a big way and wanted to find a rustic modern table with character. After finding some, and loosing a few, we were lucky enough to come across this one and it is perfect! The tabletop is chunky wood and the legs are slim silver offering the perfect blend of modern rustic!
We ran across this black rug which is a great find and I’m sure we can use somewhere!
Would be great to replace the counters with taj mahal but that will be phase 2
